What is OG? What does Optimizing Gaia Mean? Why "OG Now?"
OG now because humankind has the unique opportunity to consciously Optimize Gaia. Scientist James Lovelock theorized in the 1960s that living matter on Earth functions like a single organism. The most controversial outgrowth of his theories was called "Optimizing Gaia," in which it hypothesized that biota manipulates its environment for the purpose of creating biologically favorable conditions for itself, the implication being that it is an unconscious manipulation. OGNow is a call to concerned citizens of the World to consciously manipulate Earth's environment, through the use of knowledge and technology, to save the environment, thereby saving mankind.
